I have been working at Argos part-time for more than a year

    Pros

A good deal of the time you are out in a van delivering to customers, being the only face some customers see. It's the best bit of the job, making people happy just by being on time.

    Cons

Some of the non delivery work is a bit of a chore, manually storing and picking stock in a dirty (mainly dusty) warehouse. Poor shifts when they take on lots of staff but they still expect high morale from the drivers who get them out of the smelly brown stuff on a regular basis.

I have been working at Argos part-time

    Pros

A part time contract is 8 hours a week and they’re super understanding for college students. I always get days off for exams or to study no questions asked! Also it’s a pretty relaxed job, if there’s nothing to do you’re allowed to just stand around and chat with your co workers. No need to be looking busy all the time

    Cons

There’s an emphasis on selling insurance policies and you need to keep a certain percentage. It’s not grounds to be fired but if you keep under performing management will be at you

I worked at Argos part-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Fellow staff members were mostly friendly and happy to help - Okay for part-time work, to pass the time

    Cons

    - Management favoured older staff, often rude to younger staff - No proper training - yet expected to know the ins and outs of the company - No proper benefits or long-term possibilities
