Pros

- If you work here as a CRC you will be responsible for everything under the sun. You will do all tasks related to the study regardless if there is an entire department dedicated to these tasks (e.g regulatory, data management, study start-up). The reason I have listed this as a pro, is because if you are looking to learn and grow within the research industry this is a place where you will be forced to learn everything. - Most CRC's are pretty friendly, and I made good relationships while working at the company. - You work on studies where you can see the patient directly benefit from the trial. If you love interacting with patients, you'll love being a CRC - 4 day work with with 10 hour days - Company will pay for CCRP

Cons

AARA Clinical Research lacks a solid foundations, that is the entire problem with this company. They do not have logical processes or working instructions in place to manage as many sites as they currently have. My experience working here was sub-par, strictly due to management. Management uses CRC's as scapegoats for problems they create. They have PM'S, managers, and other employee's running departments who are out right rude, unprofessional, and un-knowledgable on the position responsibilities they have. Working with some of these folks was like pulling teeth for answers (this effects your patients time and experience in the trial). Most CRC's are paid what the average CRC pay is in AZ which is a range from 52k-68k, but for the responsibility you take on in this position I would say you are extremely underpaid. You work with multiple departments in this position including finance, regulatory, data management, unblinded personal, recruitment, and study start up. Most of these departments are understaffed, stressed, and lack working instruction from management, so you could figure that their moral is low. If they don't do their job, it will be your fault as CRC, because "you are a full service coordinator." If you are desperate I would say work here, get the experience, and leave.
