Pros

Working remote during the pandemic.

Cons

I started in the Members Services department, the company makes it very difficult for members services employees to move to other departments within the company. The members services department also has a very high turn over rate, so when you work hard and excel in the position the company would prefer you to stay there. It took me 3 years to be offered another position as a Credentialing specialist. After being a credentialing specialist for 2 1/2 years the company then reconfigured my job responsibilities and then put me back into the members services department. Being with the company for 6 years, I witnessed many coworkers being promoted to management position when they had no managerial experience. The company promoted unqualified managers who will enforce the rules the higher ups want to enforce. The company prefers their employees to just do as their told and not ask any questions. The executive team does not listen or implement any suggestions given by the subordinates. The work environment is very much like high school, if you are deemed as "cool" you will be promoted whether you have the qualifications or not. If you are a hard working employee, you will be rewarded with a tango gift card but you will not be promoted.

Pros

Working remotely through the pandemic

Cons

The quality of this company has steadily been declining over the last couple years and has really taken a turn for the worst over the last few months. Throughout the pandemic, we successfully worked remotely for almost 2 years. Leadership has been slowly trying to force employees back to the office unsuccessfully because Covid cases have fluctuated so much. Regardless, they’ve made it clear that eventually all employees will be required to work in the office 3 days a week, no exceptions. Because of this along with other issues that stem from the executive team and their overall struggle to gain power back over their employees and general tone deafness, turnover has been very high. Leadership has been unwilling to be flexible and they’ve let employees leave knowing that it will put other employees in an even worse position than they already are. The teams are dwindling and the workload has been completely unmanageable and unreasonable. There’s no longer anyone left who is knowledgeable or can provide support making it impossible to do your job. The issues internally were spilling over into the relationships with the clients because we simply did not have enough employees to keep up with the never ending service issues. The stress and mental health damage was no longer worth it for me and many others. The company will continue to fail and people will keep leaving if they don’t start putting their employees first and get with the times.
