Losing money and no longer a good place to work

Pros

The only good thing about working at Freedom anymore is the people that work there but all the good people are leaving so that will change soon. A couple of great managers in the call centre that have been there for over ten years but that's about it and when they are gone it will degenerate into chaos.

Cons

It used to be a great place to work about two years ago but the last few years have been dreadful with constant change and disruption and its all got a bit too serious with the fun and enjoyment element gone which is why all the good people have left or are leaving There is a big divide between the call centre and the rest of the business and the call centre is the bottom of the pile despite working the hardest with little or no recognition. People are constantly recruited externally into positions that they could fill with internal people and these external appointments rarely work out and they never seem to learn from their mistakes. Nepotism is rife and people have been promoted into positions over the years because of their friendship with the senior management team rather than their ability.

Apologies for the late response to your review. Any feedback is valuable. There has been lots of change over the last year, and for the positive. We conduct an annual Colleague Engagement Survey which remains anonymous and as a management team actions normally occur from these. Our people have a say and we listen, and where possible act upon. We have seen these surveys improve year on year, with this year (2017) seeing a great improvement on our Colleague NPS. Over the last 2 years we have had a fairly even split of external filled roles and internal development/repurposed roles. It is something we pride ourselves on is the succession and nurturing plans for developing our talented people. Michelle Wren

Big egos!

Pros

The staff are great and helps get through the day. Zest events and discounts are really good and nice to be able to take a partner too. Free parking is very handy.

Cons

Lots of change. Too much at times. A new management team have recently replaced long serving management team. Whilst this brings new ideas it has brought a group of men in who swan around thinking they know everything. Big salaries, big egos, little positive change.

Thank you for posting your review. I am pleased you experienced our positive people culture and teamwork during your service at Freedom. Zest is something we are proud of and we have introduced this across both of our sites, which has been with great success. There have been a lot of change recently, which has had a positive impact. Our current gender ratio is 1:1 across the company and equality is something we are proud to promote. All feedback is welcomed and your comments will be fed back accordingly. Kind regards Michelle Wren

Pros

Cons

Can't do right from wrong No support Very busy If you do not meet targets your sacked even tho you have no support work that out... in time worked there 5 people been sacked some for reasons I belive a joke... turn around in staff a joke! Personally wouldn't recommend the company and compliance is a joke one manger says do this and then other manager says do this so you end up getting a talking to for doing wrong Long hours Crap shifts Breaks rubbish they cut your breaks so you do less hours on a Saturday sounds great but on a 9 hour shift get 1 hour all day it's not so great they feel doing you a favour
