Pros

ArtsQuest brings a lot of value to the community.

Cons

High turnover. Employees are overworked, underpaid and under appreciated. Sick time and vacation time off is in fact not time off. The organization does not have enough people to cross-train to cover tasks when time off is needed, leaving the workload to be completed when the employee returns. This is leading to poor mental health for workers. There is clear burnout.

Management struggles with the basics

Many wonderful people working there. Love what they do for the community!

Cons

The management refuses to see past the ends of their noses. If you are in the "club" with the top few people, you can surely get what you need. Otherwise you mind as well not exist. There is next to no diversity in any level of management, which is a shame considering the diversity of the surrounding community.

Great Events, Not So Much for Workers

Pros

Diverse events and programs for the community. Several locations that provide events. Many of these events are free.

Cons

Company can spend millions on events and new buildings but can’t pay their workers a livable wage. Treats staff like volunteers and interns meaning no respect for your outside life or time. Performative activism: company doesn’t actually support marginalized communities, and instead cares more about money and sales.
