Pros

There are no pros unfortunately

Cons

You are not important. The moment something happens the management team are the first ones to blame the support workers. Their only concern is making profits and maintaining them. If that means making budget cuts and ignoring requirements in the Enterprise Bargaining they will. You will not be supported. Poor behaviours from clients is excused and their “therapeutic” approach to managing clients does not protect workers and does not set clients up for the future. Safety concerns do not get implemented until something dangerous happens and they are forced to deal with it. Aruma will do everything they can to not pay you what is owed and to only pay you the bare minimum. The team I work with is fantastic. The management team that I am under are so out of touch and completely incapable of relating to the people under them. If you’re thinking of working with Aruma - don’t do it.

Pros

Some passionate and caring staff

Cons

Bullying behaviour of managers are enabled by senior executive - undermining, yelling and lying. Executive are disconnected from service delivery putting customers at risk. Executive and some senior management don’t uphold the values - disrespectful and dishonest. Executive don’t have human services experience, the approach is transactional and neglects the vulnerability of customers Unrealistic workload demands, systems and technology don’t support staff to do their jobs.
