I feel as a valued individual, not just an IC or employee!
Pros
Asana has been by far the best organisation I've ever worked for. From the interview process, to the onboarding, training, continued support and recognition. I've learned more in my 1 year of sales at Asana than I have my entire career. Leadership instills full trust in you and encourages you to take risks on your own. That gave me the confidence I needed in a Sales Role. The transparency within Asana and our leadership also gives me full insight into how my hard work is rolling up to our key objectives as a business. I feel I am able to be collaborative without being too formal with higher up executives as I've felt in previous roles because I did not work too much or hear from them as much as I would have liked to. At our most recent AKO in San Francisco - Asana had all global employees in one spot. It felt so rewarding to have the opportunity to go up to our CMO, our Global Head of Sales or even our CEO and connect with them in such a safe environment. Asana makes that environment for us. Globally, people knew who we were as a region and vise versa. It's not so often you find people at an org coming up to you to introduce themselves because of the cool initiative you have done in your region, like doing something so small but so impactful that our office does which is helping with Non for Profits. I love working here - I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a career to grow, work closely with your colleagues, build amazing friendships and be given the trust to do what you're passionate on doing.
Cons
The only con is that as an office in APAC, we are sometimes silo'd - only because of time difference. So making important meetings such as our All Hands Sales Meeting or important updates can be challenging (like at 4am) but that doesn't mean we don't have access to it. They do record the sessions and we are able to view it as a team. It's just not real time. It's a growing pain but something we're working to get better at each day. I also wish I had more engagement face to face with leadership around the offices but again, it's just difficult for any org to get this if they have an office so far from HQ. However, Leadership has taken the time to come visit us and if there's an opportunity to bring them to a meeting while they are here, they are more than happy to attend and learn.
