      Pros

      The people at Ascend are fantastic. Many have been there for 10+ years, which really says something in today's world. They work with great clients, and the work is challenging (but fun).

      Cons

      No 401K plan, poor benefits, small company so not much room for growth

      Pros

      Working to produce publications for a a wide range of organizations - primarily associations in the medical industry - was interesting, as was doing the research and analysis.

      Cons

      Chaotic management with no clear direction, and the big surprise of being expected to take a 10% pay cut right off the bat in order to be allowed to even accept the position.
