Not many pros at this company. My team members are pro. They make my days at this company bearable working at the company.
Cons
Ascender is run based on lies. The owners, CEO and HR excel is this area. I have been employed for 8 months now and everything they have told us is going to happen has not happened. If you ask when are the changes taking affect you either get told soon (and they still doesn't happen) or they are not doing it anymore. The morale is non exsistant. This is not a happy environment to work in and i really don't think its going to get better. Ascender promotes from outside and not internal. After speaking to a member of my team who has been with Ascender for 5 years they have never once offered them are bigger role infact Ascender don't mention this role to anyone and the first you know about this role is when someone new starts in that position. Marketing team are rude. They are suppose to promote the company and promote and encourage you in the workplace. They don't even acknowledge you. HR team are exactly the same as marketing. Rude and ignorant towards people. No Christmas team lunch unless you are HR or Marketing or a Senior Manager who gets a company paid lunch and the afternoon off to booze while the staff that actually keep the business going have to work and get nothing. Ascender have Senior Managers who run a department they no nothing about example of this is payroll and professional services. How can you have Managers to run departments they have no knowledge or experience about. No communication from CEO about the business.
