The truth.

Pros

Brainwash you into thinking you can “move up” and “make 6 figures a year”

Cons

This is a sales job. Not a marketing job. They will not tell you that you won’t be paid $500/week until your first paycheck. You will instead strictly be paid based off of whatever sales in Walmart or HEB you made. Extremely disappointing and toxic work environment. They will tell you things like “This is just like working out. If you work out for the first time you’re sore but then you get used to it” over and over and over again. They just want you to sell their product Spectrum and make that your life. You won’t retire at 50 with this job unless you want to scam young people into selling internet and cable for you. Your “leaders” lie to you and use you so they can move onto the next “big dream”. This is a complete trap that many people fall into. I fell into it and am still so shocked at how I only lasted two days when in I should’ve only lasted an hour. The signs are there. The whole cluster of buildings Ascension Partners Austin is in are all a scam selling Spectrum as well. Stay away and save yourself from heartbreak and extreme exhaustion.

Don’t work here, it’s a scam

Cons

This is a pyramid scheme. They want you to stand in a grocery store and sell internet

Pros

My coworkers were all nice and had a competitive spirit. I had fun going out with them including having dinner and bowling.

Cons

I hated working six days a week and only having Sunday to rest, it never seemed like it was enough. I was okay working 9am - 7pm, but it became too much for me after working there for a couple months. The pay as a marketing associate is so low especially when most of the money is through commissions and I feel so much pressure to sell, but I guess this job isn't for me. I previously worked in retail, so I thought I would be good at it. Also if you can't sell a lot of products or services, you can't move up to the next position. I didn't like selling for Spectrum, Verizon, AT&T because I didn't know much about them. Also I hated having to sell door to door because I never got sales. Also selling in stores like H.E.B and Walmart was weird to me because I would see people that I know and itbwas embarassing.
