Pros

You are provided some of the best tools in the industry to do your job.

Cons

There is way too much turn-over. I think that is to be expected with a recruiting agency, but they have too much. You feel like you're just another number and are never engaged properly. There is a lot of pressure to preform to their standards, but no real benefit in meeting those standards. Management resorts to bullying and threats to get you to meet your goals instead of coaching.

Pros

- CEO is the best I've had the pleasure to work for. Joe is an outstanding thought leader who has built a heck of a company. Kudos to Joe and the rest of the executive leadership team. First class, salt of the earth folks. - Best commission plan I've seen in staffing (BY FAR). Fai and easy to comprehend. - Those at the Managing Director level have grown into exceptional leaders and continue to evolve as champions for success, very exciting to witness. - Metrics and KPIs are sensible and attainable ways to be successful. - You absolutely do not feel like just a number here. Take it from those who have worked in enterprise staffing companies, Ascent is as boutique/family atmosphere as you'll find. - The VP and CEO have both personally given the better part of the last year developing a new training platform for ALL employees. There's an obvious emphasis on newly hired, recent college/first job in staffing folks, but that should be expected. With that said, there is a brand new training portal for all levels of experienced that everyone has 24/7 access to.

Cons

- Growing pains as the company makes the shift from small to a mid-sized enterprise staffing firm. This isn't really a con in my opinion, but those who oppose this type of positive change made (hence the past tense) the environment unbearable at time. - There were a lot of folks who didn't want to be pushed or managed to a set of KPIs that have proven to yield success, thus creating a sometimes complacent and frustrating environment (see recent negative reviews).

Pros

Nice office and stocking of fridges.

Cons

Notice that everyone who says the company is a 5 star, has worked at Ascent for less than a year? It seems like a great company until you start getting screwed. Ascent makes it so you cannot view your commission, they bribe you to stay, the CEO does not even know everyone's name and the company is not even that big! The HR department is supposed to be confidential but they are not, so be careful! Overall, there are multiple issues! If you want to be treated like a number, then Ascent is for you!
