Pros

Good wage for the area.

Cons

Multiple instances of poor management and bad communication. Managers generally disinterested and technically illiterate to the departments they manage leading to constant problems being juggled by staff much further down the pay-grade. A brutal focus on health and safety focuses on completely the wrong issues when employees are asked to move heavy equipment or work in hazardous conditions with little concern for their wellbeing. Employees asked to complete tasks with little-to-know training. Issues escalated but even Human Resources lacking concern or genuine interest. A general, all-encompassing mood of dissatisfaction and defeat from most employees I spoke to or worked with leading to depression.

Pros

None that I can think of

Cons

The only way to advance is to be ex military regardless of experience or qualifications. The whole business is run by a bullying attitude which stems from upper management and the fear factor filters its way down.

Pros

Individual team members are lovely.

Cons

Bullying behaviour from the upper management, and an unwillingness to listen or take into account issues lower down the company. They do everything on the cheap, so when equipment is faulty, or long past its upgrade period, they continue to use it regardless. There's lots of 'big talk' but no improvement. Employees have to fight for wages and no one will take into account that various systems the company uses isn't working. There is very much a blame culture, and higher management won't take any account for anything. Everything is logged on various systems, but the systems are broken and incomplete but if there are any issues it is very much the individual's fault. The health and safety culture is suffocating, to the point where we would have weekly 'warnings' about things that could cause an issue. Everything from snake bites to posters about falling down the stairs (in a building that had no stairs). Anyone who is not in a management position is treated like an imbecile, and has no say in anything. The company very much pretends their workers are what make the business, but it never shows through in practice.
