Pros
There has been a huge change in the last year, and seems to be getting better daily. Pay is average in this field, no complains there. Lots of room for growth and to try out different departments. New management is open to new ideas and technology is now up to par. The co workers are really nice people, and there are plenty of company events that lets you meet everyone. This is a fast pace environment, so if you are looking for a chilling position, please look else where.
Cons
Union environment so it could be difficult to get rid of under performers. This is not your typical coorporate setting with reviews and high output demands. Most people pull their weight, but if you know the system, it is easty to take advantage of. Motivation for new comers is deminished by the current under achievers. Just keeping your head down gets you by and there are plenty of those. One of the problems when friends refer friends who were not the best to beging with.
