I worked at Assurant full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Large company, with multiple locations and work from home opportunities. Options to move into different areas of organization. They are great about charity giving, having matches set for United Way, plus they match up to $1000 every year of each employee’s individual giving to charities of their choice.

    Cons

Large workload, many departments it is all about meeting your numbers. Frequent company acquisitions increase demands and cause resulting reorganization and culture changes. I would still be working there were it not for a IT reorganization, which seems to happen every 3-5 years. Once you get to certain level, hard to progress beyond that layer.

I have been working at Assurant full-time

    Pros

Position is perfect for someone who needs to stay off their feet. Repetitive production work.

    Cons

Very stringent work environment. Pass through metal detectors and no watches, fitness trackers allowed that a cellular customer might carry. No personal cell phones allowed with you on the production floor unless you are management., etc.

    Advice to Management

Put yourself in the associates place and think if the decision you're supporting is one that you would be comfortable with if you were in their shoes,

I have been working at Assurant full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good starting pay for customer care representative. 28,800 in 2017

    Cons

Continuous schedule changes by the company

    Advice to Management

Be more understanding of people who have lives outside of work. The multiple schedule changes make it hard for people with children, medical obligations like dialysis, and/or school.
