It’s like working in a hell

Pros

None. Get out of here as soon as you can if you care for your health.

Cons

No work life balance at all. Worst sprint planning. No idea why they plan when they don’t stick to it. Bunch of things get assigned to you randomly almost every day and everything needs to be done by EOD. It’s very stressful and will increase your anxiety levels. If you still decide to join this company make sure you ask the highest payrate possible because they are going to drain you out.

Overworked, Unappreciated, and Unrewarding

Pros

The Coworkers - the people are the main reason I stayed as long as I did. Everyone is willing to lend a hand or help on an issue. Benefits/Pay - Decent, but the lack of work/life balance cancels that out. Free Parking Work From Home policy- but the CEO doesn’t like when people work from home. It’s the 21st century - working remote is a common thing. There is a reason why all of the customers have remote employees.

Cons

Management - The management is an absolute disgrace. Many projects appeared to be understaffed or staffed by untrained people or people with a distinct lack of knowledge about the product/Agile/SDLC, and the management wonders why there are problems. There is no process structure in place. Contractor Relationships - Contractors and third-parties are being paid exorbitant fees to fly in/out weekly and work alongside the employees and the employees are to not raise any questions about them, even if they are incompetent or are not the right people we need. If you’re a “Yes” person, you’ll do well in this organization. If you are someone who pushes back and try to do the right thing, you should keep an empty box at your desk at the ready. Work/life balance - Simply put, there is none. Some people are expected to work up to and more than 48-72 hours straight depending on the situation. Customers are given employees’ direct cell phone numbers without their permission, and employees are directed to accept all meetings, even if it is 2am in the morning. Everyone is expected to be able to pick up the phone, check email, or take their laptop with them on PTO. This is a 24/7/365 operation. Trust - none of the employees are trusted to make decisions about how they work, when they work, or with whom they work. The management will take the word of the customer in many situations, many times refusing to push back even if the situation warrants that the customer is incorrect. If the customer doesn’t get what they want, they “escalate” up to and including the AssureCare CEO, and poof, that thing is directed to be resolved without question. Everyday, everything is a fire and critical issue and must be resolved immediately. If every issue is critical, how can you prioritize?

Sinking Ship!

Recommend

Business outlook

Pros

If you value your health and well-being, stay away from this company!

Cons

All cons related to working for a small company with the added bonus of an Indian-based parent company. Too many onshore positions being replaced with offshore contractors. Feeling more and more like an offshore company with poor product quality. Company has only two major customers that are paying the bills. They are miserable to work with and over-demanding which leads to long hours and constant pressure. If they lost either one of them, this ship would sink. Company is getting extremely top heavy. Start investing in talent instead of over-priced talking heads that do nothing but micro-manage. Benefits package is not good if you have a young family. And there is no coverage until 30 days after you join. No career advancement as positions are constantly being replaced or eliminated. Pay increases have drastically declined over the years regardless of your contributions. Wish I knew all this before I joined.
