Pros
Great coworker relationships minus executives and management. Freedom to go home at the end of the day.
Cons
1) Toxic, unfixable nepotism and favoritism in dept: Many in leadership roles got their job due to being related management. Already sketchy. Cannot even report things to HR because the decision makers on top never believe their family members did any wrong doing. Many examples of "rule for thee but not for me". They will give all the work to their favorite and wonder why you aren't doing enough. 2) Micromanaging and setting you up for failure: They will always be behind your shoulder making sure you're on your toes and never relaxed. Terrible communication. They will blame you for missing details they never communicated to begin with. 3) No structure: It will feel like a new hire is directing you. There is no structure or set plans for most jobs and it felt like they're winging it. Terrible, detrimental decisions will be made without thinking and you might get blamed by association. 4) Low Pay: They have a technique of making sure they pay you less. Super vague job description which they will happily inflate. They cut positions, dump ALL that cut employees' work on you and never hire help nor raise your pay for the extra/different work you were never planned to do. 5) Dead-end Job: You will rarely move up in this job. Only people they are related to will get higher positions. They already know who's going to be the next CEO.
