Pros

New, Interesting technology, great hands on work, no meetings, superior working environment in that it is quiet, plush, and .large, and free, great coffee to boot!!

Cons

poor leadership, gutless/cowardly managerial techniques. upon arrival i was immediately told that i would not get a required key pad code that would enable me to get thru the 2nd layer of security and into the work place....alan smith enthusiastically told me, "we're not gonna give that to you". i was told i could not come to work before 8:30 am. i was also told that i could not be in their space alone meaning that they did not trust me right out of the gates. very weird. their manual for contractors clearly states working hours for contractors are 8:00 to 5:pm. so, alan smith makes it up as he goes with no clue whatsoever their rules are. boiled down, atessa makes you feel like and untrusted outsider but at the same time i'm supposed to get work done for them. and work? i did a ton of it in the short time there. when i was interviewed by ed king, it took about a 1/2 hour. fine interview. but, ed wanted to make sure to tell me that "ya take millions of dollars and lay it all on the line". well, some of us don't have to brag about it. i laid 1.2 million on iowa farm land in 1999 - all the money i had.......i need not say more. that turned out to be about a 6 bagger. yes, i know all about risk, Eddy. and mines a lot bigger than yours. also, i used MY money to take the risk, not someone else's. at atessa you are dealing with the huge ego, boy, crowd. no doubt it. so, yes, i'm in agreement with the previous review on glassdoor. one word about atessa :WEIRD. be careful before going to work for these clowns; i was on the brick pile. and knowing that their revenues are under a meg/year, no way was i gonna stick around banging them for about a bill/hr. it doesn't add up a lot of what i saw there was theri CTO chasing his backside trying to duplicate problems that customers or potential customers had trying to use their gizmo. and then about 1PM each day, alan, the CTO would sit back in his office and talk to hisself. very uncomfortable at first but then i realized that that's how alan rolls. as far as the COO goes, mark, he was very professional and i have nothing negative to say about mark. top notch guy. Mr King is a very intelligent man. and he's cordial but i think he's gutless. and for God's sake, if you can someone, don't sit and cower, grow some testicles, sit him down, and talk to him. don't leave the guy hanging.
