Pros

- A variety of projects that solve challenging but interesting enterprise problems - Every designer gets to directly communicate and present design work with the client executives - Lots of opportunities to explore other areas of design such as visual, motion, content strategy, research, etc. - Minimal supervision or requirements from the managerial roles - Remote working

Cons

- Sometimes clients can be difficult. Designers need to know how to defend the design, but at the same time, maintain a good relationship and take client's business needs and constraints into consideration - Remote working can be lonely sometimes

Pros

I had been working with Athlon more than 2 years. Everyone is smart and easy to work with. I started as a Junior UX/UI designer, learned a lot from our UX director and the co-workers. We have many interesting projects and awesome clients! The managers care about the individual growth and helped us a lot! Work-life balance, decent vacation days, nice health/dental plans.

Cons

Sometimes we have too many bananas in the office, we have to eat hard before it turns to the black bananas.

Pros

I've knew Athlon before joining - they were my chosen provider when I was a director for a larger agency. I whittled our 12 providers down to 3. Athlon being the first choice. So when I was approached to join I jumped at the chance and haven't looked back. They are the first agency who got "design thinking", and tried whenever possible to turn a project from a process to a creative and strategic solution (when clients allow). This has lead to some great projects, hires and a vibe that treats staff like people not robots. I've felt part of the growth and learnt and enjoyed that journey - including the challenges. If was easy we'd all be doing it!

Cons

With growth come the pains. A couple of bad clients and wrong employments; but lessons have been learnt, and in the 3 years I've been here only 1 employee has decided to move on. This for me is a sign of a place people want to work. I for one don't have the Sunday evening dread!
