Pros

People at Ivy have a great vision for how software and teams should be built. They are in a cool space in Pioneer Square. Snacks are good.

Cons

The vision won't succeed. They talk about inclusion as a core belief but don't practice it. There's an inside circle and everyone else. People pretend to listen to ideas and then dictate how it will get done. Leadership keeps changing its mind about the direction.

Most entrepreneurs are faced with the unenviable position of being told repeatedly that their vision cannot be achieved. It is the willingness to see past the unknown, overcome great odds and accomplish something truly meaningful that binds a special breed of people together to achieve the inconceivable. We know this journey is not for everyone, and we encourage people to live in choice about being a part of this deeply challenging, but richly rewarding experience. We certainly appreciate your acknowledgement regarding our ability to build great software teams. We work hard to emphasize the things that matter to software folk -- craftsmanship, experimentalism, inclusion, bias for action, adaptability and obsession for our journey -- and we strive to use these values every day to build an enduring culture that will ultimately enable us to succeed in our ambitious vision. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

Open, honest and dynamic organization. Took on a huge and intriguing problem to solve that is a game changer for consumer everywhere. It is a full fledged software stack from devices to cloud services for scale and the engineers are not boxed into a single area of expertise to explore Truly Design thinking place with customers in mind

Cons

A technical challenging place with senior and smart people around that raising the bar that keeps you on tour toes in respect to understanding the problem statement and innovate rapidly Attitude and entitlement are not accepted and we are all equally special so it requires you to be modest and ego-less with no self promotion. It is different from other companies that I've been with and it is a bit challenging
