The national censure levied by AAUP for the entire USG system is inherent to operations at Augusta University. There is no real faculty governance--in name only. There is no real tenure--as AAUP says, in name only. There has been a mass exodus of academics (look it up), which is in line with the high long term attrition rates in the medical community here (joint med school and university). The actions/policies are at odds with achieving the stated institutional goals. I keep overhearing conversations from administrators about how people can be pressured to leave (for their managerial and policy disagreements). Surveys results tend to get dismissed and buried. There is tremendous pressure to become another diploma mill (actions not statements)
