This company was, bar none, the worst professional experience I've ever had. Even worse than the minimum wage jobs I had when I was paying my dues.
The culture is 100% toxic. The CEO and other upper-management berate, threaten, insult, and verbally abuse their employees and then boast about their "transparency" and "candor." They blame employees for their own mistakes or accidents and circumstance, humiliating and gaslighting you if you stand up for yourself. For months after I had this job, I suffered from anxiety and nightmares.
Since my time there, they started forcing employees to sign gag orders to prevent negative reviews in addition to forcing employees to write fake positive reviews on this site. Fourth wall break -- I encourage any employee who has been forced to write such a review to go back and delete it when you are ready. Some of the positive reviews are valid because they are written by the team in India, who don’t have to deal with the CEO on the day-to-day.
They had no HR department in my time there--only an out-of-touch president who functioned as HR and who joined the CEO in abusing employees. As an example, the president berated me viciously for congratulating my team on a project milestone because “it doesn’t count until we make a bunch of money.”
Their business practices are no better than their employment practices. In my time there, the company could barely meet the needs of its smallest customer. Shortly before I resigned, I overheard that some of the product features I had boasted about to clients were in fact not yet complete or else just patently false. To my knowledge, two large customers have fired them for failure to deliver since my resignation. It’s my belief that they make fake promises, secure multi-million dollar contracts, then move on to the next sale with no thought to supporting their customers.
If you are offered a job by this company, particularly if you live in the U.S., DO NOT TAKE IT. You will definitely regret it. Hopefully you will see this despite the spate of fake positive reviews that will bury it within a week. Good luck.
