• Opportunities for growth and actualizing dream ideas are possible realities here for entrepreneurial, people-people, but you've got to manage relationships effectively to get there. • Everyone is generally and genuinely friendly; people who love music are happy and happy people aren't *usually* jerks. • You'll have access to some of the coolest productions and talent out there in all forms—from your teammates to the artists and teams hosting events.

Cons

• Senior corporate leadership lacks effective communication skills, but has success somehow imagining and actualizing innovative live production feats. Makes marketing pressurized instead of maximally efficient and creative. • Ego-driven industry, so there's that. Just be nice and you'll do well. Don't get involved in the drama. • Although it's a diverse atmosphere, there's still the occasional misogyny, racist and homophobic comments you might here. It's not ideal.

It is an amazing venue with a super dedicated and experienced team in which oneself can learn a lot from fellow colleagues. Being a part of a team that puts on some of the best shows in New York City is both satisfying and exhilarating and an extremely great way to build ones skill sets and resume. Great perks and benefits for an independent venue.

Cons

Cliquey employees and taking on more projects than the company can handle. They hired way too many staff members as the music industry was coming back from COVID and eventually did a mass lay off of huge employees that have dedicated their time to the venue and team.

If you are into the genre/scene - you'll like being around the shows.

Cons

They push people past their limits, play favoritism, and ignore the demands of their audience. The venue is constantly overcrowded because of mgmt's greed. Employees are pressured to the point of burnout and never rewarded. They just did a round of layoffs and offered zero severance to employees who had been with the company for over a year. They deny you health insurance for the first three months that they hire you. The new senior mgmt has no clue what they're doing and have been in a constant state of restructuring for nearly a year now. Roles and workflows are constantly in flux. They ask for your career goals, and ignore them. They didn't offer anyone bonuses last year, but somehow found room to open up a CMO role and then spend millions of dollars on Electric Zoo.
