      Pros

      Fast-growing company in a stable, growing medical supplies environment. Nice office. Good IT department and innovative use of technology.

      Cons

      There was no in-house HR when I worked there to handle employee issues. Management is not up-front about the belief system and culture of the majority of the people that work there. Normally it wouldn't matter but at Avantik the people with the same beliefs are given special privileges that others are not offered. Management appears to be kind and warm but are actually very cold. Many of the employees are related in one way or another so neopotism runs rampant. If someone they know needs a job they won't hesitate to eliminate you, despite how hard you worked for them.

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Avantik has had a full time HR person for almost three years and a lot has changed since then.

      Pros

      Avantik is a company that definitely radiates with professionalism. It was my biggest take away from the company. Located in a calm area, the office is clean, very quiet & lunch is given 3 days a week. Great benefits! Good company to start our your professional career.

      Cons

      Unfortunately, I did experience some cons here first & foremost the company culture & there being little to no room for growth is the biggest downfall. Expect to be all work & very little fun. There is also no transparency between higher ups & employees - this can cause a toxic environment because there are always rumors of what could be happening next as far as changes etc. Work from home is not acceptable.

      Pros

      Avantik has always been a quality driven service business. With some individual exceptions, I love the team approach and peer help that is always available. I have never had to ask for a raise. Work hard, pay attention to detail, give the customer your absolute best (yes, they will tell management), and the reward will be returned. The company has a long history of a good solid culture. I hope it can be maintained by new staff joining.

      Cons

      In past years, it was always a struggle to convince management of the growth needs and we always seemed short on manpower. I do believe that is changing and tremendous efforts are being made to hire a train a lot more staff.
