      Pros

      There's a lot of good things afoot here. Many high magnitude individuals at this company. Pilots, mechanics, accounting, and a sales department that's out of this world. Avex outsells pretty much all other distributors in the US combined (!). Very successful at what they do. Tons of work. Expect overtime. Good employee morale. Aviation is a very cool place to be. It's a tough environment to earn a living but once you're at the airport it's like you're family. A&P mechanics can get a lot of love from this company. They put people through school. They promote from within. It's a grind like no other. They really get a lot out of their maintenance personnel. Avex's DoM is a true professional in every sense of the word.

      Cons

      Haphazard management can be confusing at times. Could be more meritocratic. Political environment. It's no secret they play games with people's paychecks and then lie like a rug. Also they tend to pay toward the lower end of the spectrum. Avex thus hires a lot of young mechanics fresh out of A&P school. Make sure you keep track of your own hours and double check everything. Word to the wise: keep very good records of your time here. This company has been successfully taken to various commissions, boards and government oversight institutions and they often side with the employees.
