Avise just laid off 95% of their employees for a third time in three years. Read that again. Ninety-five percent! For the third time! They won't tell you any of this if you ask during the hiring process. Go see for yourself and look at allllll of the previous employees at Avise. All of those employees were lied to about Avise's revenue, success, potential, equity, and leadership of the company, in order to entice them to work there. The company has zero money in the bank. They barely produce any revenue. The only way they were able to stay open in the past was from begging their investors for more money. Don't believe it? Ask them to show you the books. They won't. You are told the company is run by the founder and co-founder, people that appear to have great resumes and experience, yet that is not the case. They are not involved in the day to day and they do not make decisions. The company is run by the Chief Strategy Officer who is very junior, has zero experience running a company, let alone any experience managing even one person. Their working style is micromanaging, deceiving and manipulating in order to control absoultely everyone and everything. Every person that has to work directly with the Chief Strategy Officer is greatly affected by their negativity and toxicity, ultimately ruining the company culture. The Chief Strategy Officer runs the company and calls the shots because the only way Avise was able to survive was from small investors, and those investors are their personal connections. If this company ressurects from the dead and you see them hiring again, run. You will ultmately be the fourth massive layoff in four years. And equally worse, working for a toxic leader in a toxic culture.
