Used to be a great company to work for but they are getting so big they no longer care about their employees.
Pros
The employees at Bucyrus are a great group of people to work with and the ones I did work with at Galion were nice as well. The wage I made was pretty good for the area and my job description. One nice thing about their benefits is that you start accumulating PTO right away. In my position, for the most part, if I needed time off I could get it.
Cons
Some of the management they have gotten in over the past few years do not have their employees best interest at heart. They came from larger facilities, not a small "hometown" community and just don't treat people very well. There has been quite a turnover of employees at Avita over the last few years due to this management. They have lost some very dedicated, hard-working and compassionate employees.
