Pros

The office is easy to travel to.

Cons

The company values are virtue signalling. Plastered all over the walls so you don’t forget. They care about “diversity” but there isn’t any ounce of diversity in management. Axis bang on about the staff that stay there for 10 years. They’re probably buddies or have close connections with each other. The call centre has a high turnover, but they will never highlight that. That’s why there are always assessment centres every month. Having to post your whereabouts on Teams and having your toilet breaks micromanaged to the t is absolutely insane and basically slave culture. Think of a sweatshop but just sitting on the phone being berated by managers and customers for 8 hours. If they could take away our breaks, I am sure they would. Being micromanaged in your own home is nothing less than crazy. The CEO does not care and is not expected to care about us so the bootlicking is funny to me. The lack of communication from HR and other managers really sets the tone for what kind of employer this is. On the induction day, nobody knew if they were coming or going. They put everyone in the same training. Builders, plumbers and call centre staff. Why do I need to learn about coshh when i am on the phone? I feel sorry for the call centre employees. The office is cold and grey. If you are applying to the call centre, try not to be sick or have any illnesses, they don’t like that. Also if you’re new, nobody welcomes you. There’s a reason why they didn’t mention it was a call centre in the first place. Look somewhere else.
