Pros

- Daily meetings (even though sometime some of the folks not sure whats going on there) - Some of the co-workers are really friendly - Senior management are worth while to mention.

Cons

- Long hours without any rewards - The communication gaps between the supervisor and the juniors. - It felt you can never satisfy the manager - People who have been working there for long period of time seems to be friendly with each other but the newer employees are stuck at their own - I smelled racism - Very poor office environment - Overall the worse company to work for.

A nice place to work.

Pros

I've worked at 6+ shops over my 10 year career and B-Reel is easily the best experience I've had. The founders are still very much involved and have taken pains to ensure its a warm, generous place to work. They very obviously care about the people, the culture, and want to do interesting work. The structure is pretty flat which gave teams a lot of autonomy; some like that, some don't. I liked it. The NY office was always comfortable and well-appointed, though it's changed locations since I left. Even when I left the company, everyone was supportive and congratulatory, eager to see one of their own move onto something new and exciting.

Cons

While I was there, the company was figuring out how to evolve with the changing industry landscape. That led to some people disagreeing with the direction – the work we were doing might not have been the work they came there to do. While the leadership always did its best to be transparent, the transition led to some grumbling and disagreement.

ambitious production company

Pros

Incredibly ambitious colleagues that you know you can trust. They have a flat hierarchy which gives a respectful environment and everybody can contribute to making the ideas better. Good ideas, good working environment and they have managed to create an environment where all the staff are very proud of being a b-reeler.

Cons

Too focused on awards. If a project doesn't get awarded it's thrown in the bin. People can really kill themselves for working so hard here but only a few receive a thanks for it. Differs between the offices though. Favourites are common but if you're not a favourite you're working hard without ever getting noticed or a thanks in the end.
