Not for light hearted and non-serious people
Pros
I have started my IT journey with this company and all I can say is that this company has evolved me into a super employee. When I look at my offer letter and then my current payslip, I see myself in a timelapse video gaining levels and developing my armor. Some of the pros been an employee in this company: 1. You will get chance to explore a new domain which will be the future in upcoming years. It has not started in a massive scale in India, but when you already sowed the seed, just wait for a couple of years to get the fruits of the tree. 2. Weekends off, flexible leave policy. The company follows task policy instead of hours policy. You will be assigned tasks, you just need to finish it. How will you finish, when you will finish, that is completely on you. 3. You will be rewarded for your hard work. Late nights, overtime, multitask etc, everything gets noticed. And you will be rewarded for these. 4. No concept of Master-Slave policy. All that matters is mutual respect. 5. You are encouraged to be just who you are. Bootlicking does not work here. I can go on and on but to sum up, this company is just lit as star.
Cons
Now here comes the cons. This is completely my opinion. The items in the list may not be a con in your list. So I am not responsible for your temperament. 1. One of the biggest con which I felt is that sometimes the pressure is too much to handle. If you get clients who changes their requirements every day then you may need to push for 20 hours worktime. I have done that in many cases, so you are also going to. All you need is to just handle it and continue doing what you do. 2. You may feel low sometimes when you will see your CTC and then your friends' CTC. It is neither too much nor too low. The CTC falls in the average bracket when you compare in the websites. 3. Since it is a product company, your domain will be limited to the product only. You wont have knowledge or expertise on other domains. So you need to find time for yourself to upgrade and keep up with the technologies. 4. You are expected to do multiple roles in this company with excellence. You have to deal with the client, you have to test your code, you have to develop, you have to manage project and many more. And everyone does that. So you cannot complain either. 5. Your guilt will eat you up when you will ask for sick leaves for just a headache. An employee attended client meetings, team meetings while lying on the Operation bed in hospital just few minutes before operation. He again did meeting after the operation. Some of the employees worked while they were COVID Positive in full fledge without taking sick leaves. Some employees do not take weekend leaves. Also some employees take leaves and then work while been in leave just to finish the total leaves allotment. So if you have a working consciousness then you won't be able to take casual leaves or sick leaves unless its emergency. All what you hear about the cons of working in a startup and product company also applies in this company as well, some may be more. The only major difference is that when you see everyone is doing more than what has been asked, then you won't feel left out.
