Pros
Currently, there aren't many pros. The good benefits, extra holidays, and shorter than average time required to earn more weeks of vacation are still in effect. A pool of outstanding, but floundering talent.
Cons
6 years of a raise freeze, multiple layoffs, longer and less creative hours, no new business, declining direction, and the total loss of a truly great and unique culture, has caused many creative and vibrant people, young and old, to move on and consider BBDO Atlanta as nothing more than a great resume entry. What is left behind is a lot of great (albeit confused and frustrated) folks, though the best are either gone or are polishing their resumes. After 7 months, the new president has done absolutely nothing to inform, much less inspire, the talent sitting right under his nose. His inability to recognize politically motivated advice and promises led to some very ill-informed choices during the last layoff. The Studio is but one, perfect example. Though he may have a plan (and has made a couple of charismatic speeches to that effect), there seems to be no real evidence of it. A recent promise of a new and well known client appears to have failed over pricing. This is not a good time to start a career at BBDO. Nor is it a good time to stay. The fun and pride are gone.
