Pay. Absolutely appealing. Don't believe what the recruiters tell you. I got told I could easily earn £550-750 gross per week if I was willing to put the hours in. Which I always am. I was paid £15.50 one week. I was a little surprised to say the least.
They actually have a company policy of refusing expense payments, even "authorised" payments. To me this negates the point of having an authorisation system in place and seems at the very least predatory in its existence and implementation.
Most controllers or accounts people in the office will speak to you in an extremely patronising way and explain business terms etc in a child like way. Regardless of whether you've previously run your own business or directed businesses in the past for others. Be prepared for an 18 year old in an office in Birmingham to tell you "I know this might be difficult for you to understand but..."
They'll send you out hundreds of miles away from home and then when the car isn't available to return, they act like it's your problem.
My advice would be to avoid working for this company at all costs. You WILL end up out of pocket due to predatory expenses policies.
Sometimes it takes 6-8 weeks to be paid for certain jobs, even though no one in the office can give a reason as to why.
I had 3 cars in the "care" of BCA in my car park at one point and was told that I was being unreasonable by asking them to pay me storage fees, when they are charging the customer for exactly that.
