Pros
There’s not much to list for pro’s to be honest. The only think I can think of is that I had some very friendly coworkers.
Cons
Where to begin. Every aspect of Billshark is poor. From the pay, to the management, to the training, to the culture, to the environment, all the way down to the actual daily functions of the job itself. The root of Billsharks problems start at the top with upper management. There is a complete disconnect between those in charge of creating policies and those that the policies affect. Upper management is stubborn and out of touch, and truly don’t understand what it is that employees go through every day. Revenue is in a constant decline due to nonsensical and trivial policies that make it difficult to perform. Anytime an employee brings this up, tries to explain why the policies don’t make sense, and provide ideas or advice, they’re instantly shot down disrespected and on some occasions laughed at. The sole cause of the loss of revenue is the employees slacking in managements eyes (which is false) and this just results in them slamming more trivial procedures down to just make working more difficult. The level of micromanaging at Billshark is also INSANE. Your manager will check on you 30 minutes into the day to ask why you’re numbers aren’t high. They’ll ask what the issues are and if they can help, and when you genuinely bring up the reason your struggling they’ll turn it around, point the finger at you, and ignore everything you say. Because of this nothing changes, because the issues aren’t addressed and the company continues to crash. The nature of this job is completely random. Bills are randomly assigned to you, and you have no control over what savings you can achieve. But don’t dare “blame the bills”, it will trigger management and you don’t want to be on their bad side. Progression on the company is based entirely on favoritism and who can suck up the most and be the biggest yes man. . Being at this job felt like I was in grade school. Employees are treated like children. Management trusts nobody and treats workers like incompetent brain dead drones that they can keep happy by sending a $5 gift card once a year. Speaking of which, pay is extremely low. Commission is a joke and expectations are far above what’s realistic for anybody to hit making it difficult to earn a livable wage. Pay raises are minuscule and not guaranteed, not even a cost of living pay increase is ensured every year. The distrust between employees and management causes a stressful and tense environment at all times. Employees are unhappy and the turnover rate is extremely high. Management will also spur of the moment fire any worker, no matter how high up in the company you are or how long you’ve been there, with no warning and no explanation. Overall this is not a good company to work for, and my quality of life has significantly improved since leaving.
