Pros

Great company to work for, they are customer service oriented and in my opinion the best HUD Asset Manager in the nation. They have high expectations for their employees and encourage growth within the company as well as the industry. BLB allowed me to be creative in my many roles during my 10 year employment and supported me along the way. I learned so much during my time there and had great mentors. What stands out for me is the family culture BLB stands by. We work hard and play just as hard. The random Corn Hold tournaments and the Halloween and Christmas contest were my absolute favorite , it wasn't about the prizes (although the Gaston's were very generous when it came to prizes), the great times and memories will be with me for a lifetimes. I will truly miss those days. The owners truly care for their employees and created a comradery environment in the workplace. They made sure there was plenty of snacks available in the kitchen, and would provide lunch and desert for the team frequently.

Pros

Having been with the company since the start of the federal contracts in 2010, I can say that this company has treated their employees better than any company I have worked for. The company gives each employee a separate health & welfare stipend that covers employee premiums for 3 different medical plans. Time and again they have done their best to keep people even through the toughest contract challenges. The owner brings in food and desserts paid for out of her own pocket. You won't find this level of caring from a senior management team anywhere else.

Cons

Upward mobility is difficult due to the longevity of the current project management teams. The knowledge you can gain about real estate transactions offsets this when looking at positions outside the company.
