Fleet management completely disregards the ‘duty of care’ in respect of their drivers' wellbeing and puts business needs ahead of company's responsibility do all they reasonably can to support the health, safety, and wellbeing of their drivers. The company does not pay what they initially promise to pay their drivers. Drivers are often tasked to work overtime which is on the verge of compliance with the Highway Code but do not get paid for that. Tricky Terms of Employment give little rights and protection to the truck drivers, mainly the Romanian nationals, who would not complain due to their limited English.
