Pros

office is big and hierarchy

Cons

If you're a U.S. citizen, this company will offer you a top-tier experience. Clocking out on time? That's the norm. Getting fired on a whim? Unlikely. You can work with peace of mind, enjoying an office environment free from the influence of the class culture often associated with Korea and East Asia. However, if you're not a U.S. citizen, the 'harmonious atmosphere' in the office will subtly pull you into the grips of 'overtime culture.' You'll feel an invisible pressure every time you consider leaving the office, as if you’re trapped in an endless cycle of working late. Every day, the company offers over an hour of unpaid overtime 'benefits.' The office places heavy emphasis on efficiency and time management, and you'll quickly find yourself receiving criticism and punishment if you exceed your allotted work hours or are perceived as inefficient. P.S. Efficiency and time refer to the tasks assigned by leadership, and the work hours they expect, but will never clearly communicate to you. As for the leadership, those with backgrounds in Korea bring their traditional cultural influences into the office. When you need help, their approach is usually to raise their voice, rather than provide guidance. You'll often feel like an ignored robot, struggling to get clear direction, only to be berated until leadership is satisfied. Overall, if you’re looking for a challenge and can handle immense work pressure, this company provides a ‘perfect’ stage. But if you value work-life balance or are expecting a more humane environment, you may want to think caution

Pros

The company takes on interesting work and has a variety of projects, and there is a lot that you can learn. The NY office is quite nice and there are some really great people working there.

Cons

Human resources are spread thin, there was a lack of consistency (procedures, standards, etc...). Leadership is spread quite thin and takes on too many projects, leading to a lack of access. Expectations of commitment are quite high, and work life balance is not really a thing, and pay is relatively low, with promotions/raises taking a long time. Company ownership feels very absent to designers, creating a void in leadership.
