Pros
Medical Center, so more resources Adamant on nursing safety, i.e. meds, sign-off, narcotic waste, central line management
Cons
Started out as a new nurse there, so not respected nor valued Even as I progressed in my career, I still wasn't respected nor appreciated, no matter how hard I worked Different personalities, and staff, particularly nurses, sadly enough, acted in "cliques", like high school students. This hospital is also located in Temple, which is not the nicest of areas-Both patient population and coworkers were very "undesirable"

Pros
BSW is constantly evolving and always looking for ways to improve. Mentoring is taken very seriously - each member of the staff is matched up with a mentor who checks in monthly on both personal and career objectives. The environment is intellectually challenging and extremely supportive. The team is AWESOME!
Cons
Hiring process can take some time, but now that I'm in the inside, I understand the process and why they take the time to vet their candidates (there are tests during the interview process.)
