Pros

Looks good on your CV because of the amount of (BS) marketing as ‘one of the countries top firms’

Cons

Nepotism at the highest level- if you’re not a ‘BVN’er’ within a month, start updating your portfolio I believe the CEO’s and most Principle’s have the best intentions for the company and the staff, but the problem lies in those below them who are trying to climb the ladder. Most (bar a couple) have no issue pointing the finger at others when they, or those that they favour are at fault Allegations of mismanagement, bullying and other situations of malpractice are dealt with by issuing multiple warnings and swept underneath the rug All the hype about the wellness for employees is smoke and mirrors for marketing the company profile No pay rise when you become registered Herd mentality here is cooked and the biggest thing to note is how this manifests into covert bullying within a team

Pros

Great people, easy-going environment, everyone is very friendly, nice office space and central location, WFH flexibility and technology.

Cons

Nepotism. Its all a favourites game. There are people there that do nothing and get promoted and looked after all the time. Then the people who actually do all the work are treated like numbers. There are people there with titles that don't deserve them and the hard workers are ignored. People aren't treated equally. Management do things for some people but not for others. You have to make friends with management. If you are too quiet they won't like you. The management pigeon-hole people very quickly. They pretend like they care about your career but then they just shove you into any resourcing gap that needs filling. There's a lot of talking behind closed doors. The management will promise things but will never deliver. They will string you along for a long time and then screw you over. If they are going to make you redundant they will send you an email, they won't do it to your face.

Pros

Work life balance is good. Its a good place to work if you just want to get by. I would say it is a good place to start your career, progressing your career would be very subjective and depends on individual. If you are more of a do-er and not vocal, promotion might be harder. There are a wide variety of project of different scale and flavour for your to chose and work from.

Cons

Merit doesnt really work in this company, favourtism does, people who are liked get promoted very easily. Despite of them preaching equality in gender or race, it is merely a facade. If you do your research, this is not a single of non white person higher than senior associate throughout the companys long existence... Whenever you ask for promotions or pay rise (even when you know you've performed), they will ask you to join their lengthy 'own-it sessions' which is a program where you disccuss and demonstate what you have done. IMHO its just a B.S. program that delays you getting what you deserve. Titles in this company doesnt equal to more pay, its a tag that they give out like fun coupons to people they like..
