Pros

Monday to Friday working hours

Cons

New senior management have no people skills-recent restructuring saw a very if your face fits, you will get the job, salaries advertised for roles not what you are given when in post, management dont listen but make out they are all about an open door policy, its all for the expected ofsted visit, so much underhand, micro management, autocratic, abrupt, rudeness and insulting culture from management to staff, they have no idea about teamwork, they can talk it but their actions are the opposite. Staff in roles that they are not skilled for but for ofsted purposes the reports say they are skilled or will be trained up. Personel colluded with managers so no point going to them, investigations not conducted properly and discriminatory language is tolerated about students from their coach - must be too much paperwork to do properly. Horrible place of work. Avoid it at all costs or be prepared to be humiliated and devalued

Pros

Some of the people are great, it will be like working with family because between some people there is a genuine care.

Cons

Just about everything. There are hardly any benefits for employees, its very difficult to make career progression. Often find that small things that could be done to make work more enjoyable or make you feel like you matter are seen by Babington as not worth it for the sake of more profit which they dont need because their turn-over is tremendous. Not very good attitudes towards mental illness and well being in staff. Ive seen a massive turn over of staff in my few years all because the company made them feel worthless and couldnt do simple things to make the employees feel like theyre listened to and like they matter.

Ambitious Vs Realty

Pros

Open to new ideas Ambitious organisation Strong Work Ethic Nice working environment Good opportunity to develop into new role if you are successful

Cons

Owned by venture capitalists, and therefore focus is on immediate short term financial reward rather than sustainable long term growth. Have good ideas about opportunities to develop into new markets, but set unrealistic timescales and targets. Very aggressive in terms of revenue generation and dismiss employees very quickly if they are not performing.
