Pros

Nothing. An awful place to have to show up to every day.

Cons

Favoritism, cultural bias, no employee development, employee infighting was ignored and sometimes even encouraged by upper management. Actual caliber of the employees who work there long term is very poor.

Pros

You get weekends and holidays off and paid holidays if working full time. You get a small bonus during Christmas. Difficult to get fired once you are past probation.

Cons

Customer service is understaffed. There is no upwards mobility and there is definitely favoritism in upper management. Raises are extremely low if you are not in upper management. The company is run to make money rather than to make the best product possible therefore expect to hear from angry customers who have the right to be angry at a company who is just taking advantage.

Pros

Stable employment in an industry that never will go away

Cons

No room for advancement, lack of human resources rep, retaliatory upper management, substandard office conditions and equipment. Baby Trend lacks an empathetic human resources rep or department, all internal affairs are handled by the CFO, the owner's wife, who mainly speaks Mandarin Chinese and has difficulty understanding key details leading to confusion or misunderstandings which results in biased distasteful retaliation to address a problem. The General Manager is under the chain of command to report to the CFO. Unless you speak Mandarin Chinese you are looked at with bias and as mentioned in another review, you will be alienated and distrusted. Promises are all verbal but never completed unless deemed absolutely necessary by law. Reviews, probation must be followed up or will be forgotten, CFO is reluctant to any form of direct meeting with individuals and reviews are delayed or ignored completely. Any ideas or comments to improve or change any aspect of the company is met with extreme negativity, the restrooms are barely stocked with basic toiletries and asking upper management results in a glare. All supplies are locked off and inventoried, only the warehouse foreman is allowed to remove supplies who also has broken English and speaks Mandarin.
