Pros

Great team of design folks

Cons

Sales staff and resource managers have little concept of what it takes to get work done. Dates are committed with limited requirements and without regard to resource allocation, other work in progress, or budget.

Pros

- Beautiful office space. - When you're able to find the few people willing to help you learn and grow, you will. - Truly, some of the best and brightest work here.

Cons

- Perfection IS expected, despite what they tell you. - Many people in management are unwilling to help, or get annoyed if you ask too many questions and have no shame in stating "you should know this" even if you state you've never had experience with the task at hand - Many people in upper management do not care if you are struggling - I was personally told my manager was running out of patience with me, and they were incredibly unwilling to hear my concerns or move me despite it being better for me, my team, and the manager. - If you are a person that cares about other people AND the work, you will burn out here. - Far too many cooks in the kitchen, impossible to get answers to questions or work through a project in a timely manner, even with agile practices implemented. - Managers are more likely to suggest you switch careers than help you understand the more complex areas of the field.

Pros

Good place to gain agency experience, most people with any ambition leave within 3 years due to micromanaging and microaggressions.

Cons

As a person of color, you will be all alone, literally and figuratively. One look at upper management will give you a great idea of how they regard diverse talent. This is not a coincidence. Bader Rutter has not fostered an environment that allows people of color to show up authentically and succeed. In fact, they will expect you to do all the heavy lifting when it comes to acquiescing to company culture. Whether that be serving as a spokesperson for your race when tough topics come up, posing for photos to make the agency look more inclusive than it is or aims to be, or stroking the ego of out of touch, misogynistic, managers and leaders — lest you be pushed out.

Great agency, poor communication.

Pros

Interesting, creative work on some unique accounts.

Cons

Leadership has poor communication. My manager did not keep me updated on news that impacted my role. I did not receive training/skill building as promised.

Pros

Beautiful downtown office. Flexibility. On the river. Great coffee.

Cons

A good ol boys club. Promotions abound to the inept. Accusations fly from managers without merit or substance. Many, many layoffs. A real shame.
