Overall, it was good place.

Pros

Overall, there were a lot of really nice people. I'd be hard pressed to think of people I actively avoided. They offered me a lot of freedom to execute the tasks they wanted from me, which was nice.

Cons

It was a small company and there were definitely frustration points that came with that size. I wished that there was more training, and I also wished that company was growing more robustly to create opportunities to be promoted from within.

It gives you a lot of exposure into various fields that you can then break off and explore.

Cons

They have a matrix organization that forces you to work with different bosses with inconsistent management styles. Managers aren't really trained so they are learning on the fly. Place seemed like a revolving door and was pretty cutthroat. If you didn't pass your exam right away or fit their super specific mold you were out of there.

Our matrix set up does provide many challenges for a new employee to navigate, on top of their normal responsibilities. We have found, though, that it adds tremendous value for learning and client coverage. Additionally, we do have requirements for certain roles, such as completing required exams to be licensed to work with clients.
