Do not work here unless you value incompetence

Pros

work/life balance - but only because no one is keeping tabs on you. Occasional summer Friday's. The people are friendly.

Cons

This has got to be the most disorganized organization I've ever been a part of. Where to even begin... the company is unable to properly forecast a short-term budget and is extremely stingy with spending money. It is nearly impossible to get contracts approved. The majority of upper management is all located in the Gloucester office and has no accountability for what takes place in the Boston office. CEO needs to be phased out, doesn't value new or innovative ideas - likes to stick with what's been done in the past. Product functionality isn't there. Internal teams are not on the same page, and rarely have any idea what is going on in the company as there is no transparency from upper management. No urgency on projects or deadlines. This is a place where you can get by doing very little as long as you can manage up well. No room for growth. Certain VPs will say and do anything just to appease upper management. Office is old and falling apart, black debris falls from the ceiling. Benefits are mediocre, but no dental/vision insurance. Lack of company culture.

Pros

1. Summer Fridays which are going to be cancelled this year onward 2. Annual bonus (years * 100$), again going to be cancelled.

Cons

1. Your job is not safe here, if this doesn't scare you already, there are worse below. 2. You might be asked to leave with a day/15 days or 1 month notice, heard Salary Cuts this year, FORCED unpaid leave 3. HRs are bunch of Jokers here, they ask you to post positive Glassdoor reviews. I even doubt these are genuine ones below. I would advice not to fall under any trap 4. Yes clients used to be there but it's very niche product company with no backup. India management has no say and works as US management advice 5. You will asked to provide regular updates if you wfh (which is not allowed most of the times). HRs will continuously ping you questioning why you took wfh even if you have manager's approval 6. You might get a mail for if you dont complete 9 hours daily. 7. Notice period is 3 months (Non Negotiable), you will be forced to beg to release you early even in case of emergencies. No Buy-Out options 8. No career growth and you can only climb the ladder if you are in good books. No Motivation 9. We have been asked to wash our own plates after lunch for initial 1 month. 10. No Car parking slots, again we have been asked to pay 2500 or 1250 rs parking charges, else make own arrangement ( Wasnt applied though) 11. No cab facility. 12. No direction, Engineering team has no clue what they are developing, People are not being trained on End to End Processes 13. no new learning opportunities. 14. No Onsite 15. No appraisal, Single digit for most 16. the list is never ending here so if you want to screw up your career and dont have a choice to join anywhere. Please go ahead.

Pros

Great co workers, life work balance is decent, every other friday off in the summer, good health coverage

Cons

Senior management for the most part is inept, CEO while very knowledgeable is one of the most unprofessional people I've ever worked with and will berate, belittle or make people feel uncomfortable with her remarks. Company expectations and objectives change frequently and are not clearly communicated to team that needs this information to properly execute their jobs. Unable to make quick decisions on anything due to layers of red tape and approval processes. If you can put up with the chaos or just not care, you might be ok.
