Pros

- It's state-owned bank, so high possibility if the bank condition is bad, the government will help. - The salary is average, definitely not best but not worst either, with decent yearly bonus.

Cons

- If you are binded with work contract, beware because this company will bind you in long period, longer than average company. For example the management trainee program requires the employee to submit their diploma for 5 years and no reduce penalty in 5 years. - No clear recognition, hard-work employee and lazy employee gets similar bonus. So, if you are ready to give everything just prepare yourself for disappointment. Management always give empty promises to try cheer you up but will penalize you the moment you make mistake. - Too many bureaucracy. So many division with no clear duty. Many division have overlapped duty. - Too many clueless managements, even some of them only makes work harder with no real contribution to the company. - Many disgruntled employees because of the condition I explained above. This creates a toxic workplace environment. - Some manager expect you to work 24/7. But it depends on the manager. If you are unlucky, just prepare yourself with this kind of manager. - HRD treats the employee disposable, thinking many new employee will apply to this company, but they don't think about the wasted valuable experience if the current employee resigned or moved to competitor. HRD try to give some benefits but with additional contract that disadvantage the employee. - Many employee have family relative that work in this same company, so working here feels like working in a family company. - Promotion is based on seniority or family relative not from employee performance.
