Pros

• The building • Co-workers that are not management/leadership These are about the only things that were good at Banner Marketing

Cons

When I first started at Banner, they had just experienced a huge employee and workplace morale issue. To address this, they had everyone read a book called "Leadership and Self-Deception" by the Arbinger Institute. I was impressed. It showed to me that they really cared about their employees and the need to help improve the workplace atmosphere. As we worked through the book, most employees were open to the message but skeptical that it would be effective. I later learned and experienced why. Senior management is toxic at Banner Marketing. They are more concerned of protecting themselves than supporting their employees. If you disagree or contradict them, they become aggressive and make you look like the issue/problem. The long hours and tight deadlines is just the nature of beast. However, at Banner, the management was never at the frontline with the rest of the team. While we were given mandatory overtime for projects that were unrealistically promised to clients/printers/partners, the management were nowhere to find in the office. Banner definitely has management, not leadership. If you are looking for a company that you can grow, professionally and personally, you will not find it here. I was in culture shock when I left Banner and started at my new employer when they asked for my opinions and ideas AND actually listened and valued my thoughts. It was such a weird concept after working for Banner.
