Pros

GREAT pay during summer or low employee times but not a reality. Huge radius that accommodates different commutes. Never see supervisors or any discipline seen through.

Cons

Wil send a rookie unarmed guard to dangerous sites even days after another guard was stabbed or attacked. They won't even mention it to you, and if you get hurt or something out of one's control happens, say bye bye. Take Anything they say at hiring with a grain of salt. Small Family Business that recently began bursting at the seams. The hours can be GREAT, but as soon as business slows regardless of agreements they will take OT to keep their profits. Expects Highs of $3800 to Lows of $1100, with zero warning and on top of that crushing blow they will still work you 6 days a week. Only way to stay in profit is to be a Yes man, with lets say a "loose" disposition, and don't dare stand up for yourself or expect BSG to remain accountable for their actions, because professionalism will go right out the window. Typical Old Town Middle Class family that has now lost all sense of humanity. Good employees are not cherished, they are used up and tossed to make room for someone they pay less and make more. Benefits only enroll once a year with limited options at $400+ a month, BIGGEST CON:, Communication is next to non existent unless it's too appease a client peeve. Regardless of safety or reason, the client get what they want and the guard is left t deal with the reality of what usually forgotten about in a week as many clients love BSGs willingness to make them feel important. Most clients tend to treat the guards as lesser people, both because they can, as BSG will just remove the guard if his/her counter point is valid. Evan seems like good people, but has become fairly scarce and doesn't respond to much anymore along with rest of office. Harry, Evans father and foothold to the community connections is only as nice as you let him screw you. Legitimate complaints are belittled and he will resort to name calling before owning his end. 3/4 of office staff have zero concept of real world struggles, things like not having enough gas, or any unexpected incident that affects one's schedule is routinely handled with skepticism and disbelief.

Pros

The OT is nice. However the moment you say you need a break they will hold that against you. The supervisors/leads in the field really will have you back. However upper management in the office won't. The management team in the field have higher standards than the people doing the hiring so it puts them at a disadvantage.

Cons

This company used to be nice to work for. However lately they are more focused on quantity of agents rather than the quality of the agents. There is no loyalty to employees that have been with the company and have constantly put in good work. The last review put on here was most likely written by the CEO himself. Most of the supervisors barely like their jobs, I don't know why anyone less than them would write such a positive review thats how i know its fake. It is extremely difficult to get time off here. Especially if you in anyway irritate the scheduling manager. He holds grudges and will deny every request. The company is more concerned about putting money in their pockets than giving their employees a raise. Don't even try and call in sick too. They will give you a hard time every time. Their website states they hire the best but their standards for agents have gone down hill fast. If you have a pulse you're good enough to work here, you don't even need a brain. There is no advance training after their initial training day. They used to make the initial training day a priority but now they send people out in the field for months without it. This company is only where it's at today because of the name. The CEO is more concerned about his image than the employees that are working for him. The management team from the office state they work in the field but only if they are together. How do you get to know your employees if you never work with them? The amount of drama. I swear there are more mood swings within this company than a 5150 clinic. Catch management on a bad day and they will try everything in their power to ruin the rest of your life.

Pros

After working at BSG for about a year and a half, learning all the ins and outs of the company, it's easy to say that this company is headed for the top and has no plans of slowing down. The managers are kind and compassionate. Flexible scheduling as long as you are willing to be flexible as well. An overall great team to work for, both as a full time office aid, full time security guard, and now part time office. I wouldn't trade my time there for anything.

Cons

Lots of hours available, which can be considered a good thing as well.
