Pros

(1) Underlying mission of the firm - to help really sick and suffering people and their families deal with asbestos claims. (2) Awesome benefits (i.e. health insurance, 401K, free coffee/soda, holiday parties, etc) (3) Fast-paced, quick learning environment (4) Decent bonuses (but has been on the decline)

Cons

- Lack of transparency - the firm is very opaque when it comes to salary. They do not want employees to share their compensation with each other and the firm definitely operates in a black box - Compensation is low - the firm wants to recruit better attorneys and staff, but the compensation doesn't match reality. The benefits are great, but when you expect your attorneys to work more hours than the big firms, get paid less, and still not get a bonus for working all those hours, you are going to lose out on some decent talent. - Unclear firm direction - the shareholders are notorious for keeping employees (attorneys and staff alike) in the dark when it comes to the firm, its direction, and goals. - Hypocritical policies - the firm makes no appologies in its Democrat affiliation. While the shareholders like to pretend they care about the little people and upholding the Democrat's ethos on helping the unfortunate, many times they don't "practice what they preach." They take no issue in firing a long time employee to save a few bucks.

Pros

Friendly co-workers, great IT department, beautiful offices with breathtaking views, amazing HR department, lots of office parties and catered meals, great facility/ break room perks, involved in community events, team driven projects.

Cons

Many inefficient practices, repetitive work, unorganized management, several attorney's in charge and they don't know what they are doing, some appearing busy/productive but more social, very cliquey. If certain attorney's don't like you for social reasons they will make it hard for you, even if you do a great job.
