Pros

Great money when you sell

Cons

1/2 lot of the leads are no good, unqualified. Work 6 days a week drive 40,000 miles a year. Claim to have profit sharing but they said there was never a profit to share. No benefits. They do have a 401 K but they do not contribute to it. It's all about the owners. They claim to be good people but keep customer deposits just because they can legaly

Pros

If you are simply in the sales person role, then you have the ability to make money if you are willing to drive and put in the time and effort.

Cons

The leads are not pre-qualified as they claim and management doesn't care what it costs you to go out to the house since they win if you make the sale and loose nothing if you don't get in the door. Very disjointed management style with a very 1980's approach to sales.

Pros

Get your own van, tools, work alone. If you're a really good installer, you can finish a job early and go home.

Cons

Commission only. So if the job doesn't go in, you're not getting paid. Whether the job takes 4 hours or 12 hours, you get paid the same. In gerenal, long hours and low pay. Turnover rate of installers and other staff is extremely high. Poor training. Installers are put out on their own even if they are not properly trained. Seen far too many major screw ups on jobs by installers that didn't know what they were doing. The result is a job that supposed to take 1 day and ends up taking weeks or months to resolve. A lot of unhappy, pissed off customers. Treatment of employees by management is very poor as well.
