Great Place to Grow.

Pros

The ability to be exposed to all aspects of Design and Construction. Great studio culture / collaborative environment. No limits to what you can and can't work on. Fluid chain of command. Office location is good.

Cons

Focused on the career track record of Healthcare, Senior Living, Religious Work. Not much interest to grow into other markets. Needs more Principals / Career Architects to grow and train new interns / employees.

Working at Batson Associates

Pros

In working at Batson Associates for the past 30 years we provide each person the ability to work on a project from initial concept through final close-out of construction. From the beginning of the project each member is exposed to all aspects of the project.

Cons

Over 30 years we have had ups and downs, but we have all pulled together as a family to work through the tough times.

Pros

At Batson Associates you are able to learn through experience and the mentorship of skilled architects. I felt as if I learned more in the first couple of months at Batson than I ever did during my undergraduate eduaction. Batson is a great place to work at for any starting associate or experienced architect.

Cons

A smaller firm size leads to a not so diverse employee roster, but it can grow larger or more diverse in the future.
