Bizarre Place that Could be so Much Better
Pros
Teachers are able to form unique relationships with students in their one student to one teacher ratio classes. Administration handles communicating with parents.
Cons
The student rooms are small, confined and the majority of them lack windows. Not enough socialization for students. Students have their own, small rooms that each teacher visits for class time. Teachers do not get paid for time spent writing daily lesson summary notes. They're only compensated for the usually 45 minutes of time they spend with a student. Faculty never have assurances that their job will continue into the next school year. Some faculty are devasted to learn there are not enough students/classes for them to teach until the first day of orientation. That's a deplorable way for any business to treat an employee - for an adult to treat another adult. It's unprofessional, inconsiderate and there's an element of cruelty there, too.
