Pros

Working here as a student makes being flexible with classes and assignments/tests easily attainable.

Cons

Not very good pay, more of a job to get spare change and not support yourself.

Pros

The benefits of working at Baylor University are fantastic--generous PTO, solid retirement options, etc. Working for a good cause has a lot of intrinsic value & benefits.

Cons

The salary is standard "Education" pay, and that can be difficult if you're trying to raise a family of 4. Additionally, Baylor has a problem with keeping base salaries the same over 10+ year periods without increasing the base pay to address inflation. At some point "Good paying jobs" become "bad paying jobs" by this factor alone. Also, be aware that the same title in one department can be paid significantly less or more in another department.
